I feel that Cornell is just the perfect fit for me. Is such an amazing school. The campus also! I love it. It’s just so peaceful, so big and so pretty.
I just love everything about it
The stress is real! I have a huge countdown to “Ivy Day”… I hate that they wait so very long! It’s not like our entire FUTURE hangs in the balance, lol! Best of luck to you ALL! Make sure to wear red on Thursday!! Good luck!!
@pianoir We’re all in this together. I’ve waited since november for this, as a deferred student. Acceptances haven’t already been released. We’re gonna find out in two days. Stay strong! I’ve got your back. Good luck, I hope you get in.
@cuhopeful16 Don’t universities look down upon gap years??? Cause I was actually thinking about it if I didn’t get in anywhere I wanted, and instead go live in another country for like a year or something.
@Shweta25 I don’t know about MPS program but they wouldn’t put you on the waitlist if there was no hope. I’d call and see if the waitlist is ranked and what past statistics show so you can know whether to move on or keep hope. There has been a huge surge in applications across the board this year so maybe more waitlist people will get in since each person can only attend one school:)
@cuhopeful16 wow Cornell or Gap, that’s dedication! Keep in mind, most schools transfer applicants have easier standards and statistically most students like the school where they end up. But still sure hope you get in.
So I read on Cornell’s website that they do not take the writing section of the SAT into consideration for admissions decisions and I notice that they only list the CR and Math scores for admitted students data. Since writing was the weakest section for the other schools that do take it into consideration, will this make Cornell a better bet, considering R+W+M=2250 and R+M=1570 (M 800 R 770)? This score was achieved in one sitting, and my application was for Engineering.
@mads94 Your score, regardless of which scale you’re using, is great. Again, Ivy chances are a complete crapshoot; applicants with 2400s are rejected. Just sit back and relax for the next two days. Good luck!
Oh man! I thought that perfect SAT scores were only rejected by top ten schools like Harvard, Yale, Princeton and Columbia. I didn’t realize that that was a thing at Cornell too! Well, guess it’s all up in the air then!
