Cornell waitlist rejection letters going out soon. Engineering not taking any off waitlist. They overbooked initial admissions and underestimated student acceptances, even though they said they only “directly admit as many as they can take in a class and use waitlist for filling students not accepting”. This was a quote from an admissions officer. Bullshit artists!
For CoE, or all do you think?

I have not seen anything from anybody on the ILR waitlist…
I wrote our regional administration officer about the engineering school and this was his response.
“Thank you for your interest in Cornell. We have not admitted anyone from the Engineering waitlist yet this year. I can’t predict with 100% certainty if we will admit anyone, but we are hoping to resolve the waitlist and notify students soon.”
@momofthree55 How long did take for you to get that reply?
He replied two hours after I emailed him yesterday.

Hello! Just joined this thread, but I got an email about 2 weeks ago from the CALS director of admissions saying she was nominating me for a spot in the spring. However, I haven’t heard anything since. It’s not guaranteed that I’m in, right?
@rochpro2486 You should email her letting her know that you haven’t been contacted, but you want to make sure she knows that Cornell remains your top choice, and you’ll attend if admitted.
