no, but I think they send the email just a few days before…not an entire week. waiting is torture.
Hey guys, so after about two days, admissions finally responded to me a couple of hours ago today about the early decision release date and they said that they still haven’t finalized it yet, but we can still expect to be notified by mid-December. At this point, I think there’s really nothing to do other than to just wait for the email. I don’t know why it’s taking them so long this year.
Although that doesn’t tell us much as least they’re working on it. Seems as tho all ivys have been released by the 15th so we gotta just keep waiting
@college2019123 @v7631902 yayy that’s so cool! You guys are the first I’ve seen who have also applied. Would you guys want to start an ILR thread to compare stats? Good luck to you both!
Hey all! CHE Healthcare Policy major applicant here! Just curious about the emails- I’m in a fairly large reddit chat of ED applicants (75+) and it seems quite a few people have gotten the email, but some haven’t. Initially we assumed every applicant received the email and the few in the chat must not have checked their spam, but reading here, that doesn’t seem to be the case! Any thoughts? I did NOT receive an interview if that matters.
@perspica what did the email say?
@pleaseacceptme99
I’ll summarize; it was mostly bulleted.
subject “ Your Cornell University Early Decision Application”
summarized
We wish to remind you that:
-Early decision is binding
-You can be admitted, denied, or referred. If you are referred, you are no longer bound.
-If you are admitted, you must withdraw other apps
-ED acceptances are binding, unless there is a financial issue
Then a reminder to apply for finaid if needed, and “We ask that you carefully consider the binding commitment you have made as an early decision candidate. If you are no longer interested in being considered as an early decision candidate, we ask that you email email by November 26.“
Seemed to be something was mass sent at first glance, didn’t even think that some applicants didn’t receive it
Does anyone know if Cornell has a max on applicants per major? I am just curious because many of my friends say that it is easier to get into a particular school if you apply as an x,y, or z major.
ILR here…
CHE Human Development here too!
that email above was from a few weeks ago
Do you guys think decisions will be released on Monday? Or a different day? Reply back and let me know what you think
@laurellaurel124 I think decisions will be released on the 12th but I’m hoping it gets released sooner preferably Monday.
Why do you think the 12th? I though it would be 9th or 10th?
CHE Human Development. Good luck to everyone!! Hoping for a miracle.
Does anyone think it will be later now because of the weather in the NE and nothing posted? I think the 12th seems logical unfortunately since it is about a week away.
One of my friends just received an email from Cornell saying this:
“Early Decision notification is 12/12. You will be receiving instructions on how to view your decision before this.”
Was this mail in response to a query? trying to see if everybody is expected to get it or not.
anybody else got this “Early Decision notification” mail?
