I don’t understand why anyone would ask “chance me” with stats. We are students, not admissions. We have no idea if you will get in. All our stats are similar, but there are so many other factors at play.
Not sure how much “weight” there is, but if you google CAAAN interview, it shows a link to what good comments look like - and man, I would not want to be Brittany. I really enjoyed my interview, if given a chance everyone should do one.
has anyone called admissions asking when they are going to release decisions? apparently people did that last year and they told them what the date was. I am hoping the 9th… anyone have any idea?
December 10th at 7pm
@Musicmom2015 Can you send the link to where you saw this.
@musicmom2015 did you call and ask or are you getting that information online somewhere?
@musicmom2015 isn’t that outdated? That was the information from last year… is it possible that they haven’t updated that page for this year yet?
Yes sorry! Just called and they haven’t announced the date yet. They need to update the website.
Hey everyone, quick question. Does Cornell send out ‘likely letters’ for non-athletes as well?
Regarding ‘likely letters’ - A few years ago my daughter received one during the RD application process (she did not apply ED). She was a legacy, not an athlete. Don’t know about ED applications.
If I didn’t apply for FA, did I have to fill anything out?
Does anyone have any update about when they’re going to release the decisions for ED? I was going to email them, but I figured someone else might’ve already done so recently.
Not sure about decision release, but does anyone know if ED admits get letters too? Or will we only be able to see our decision via the portal?
Also, do you know the timeline for when admissions officers read and discuss apps? Are they still being read or in committee by now? I just sent in a supplement 4 days ago and am wondering if it will have any impact on my application.
Thanks all! Happy late Thanksgiving
@galaxygirl I think you should email the admissions office.
@David124 Okay yeah, I might try to do that and just see what happens.
I submitted supplemental information a little over a week ago and emailed the admissions office. I haven’t received a reply email but assume that’s due to thanksgiving. I emailed a general admissions email and provided my reference number and name. Is there a specific email I was supposed to contact for updated application information?
@galaxygirl what did the admissions office say
No likely letters for ED - think about it, what’s the point of sending out ED letters? They have you if you are admitted.
You’ll find if you are admitted via the portal and then you’ll get a letter and a T-shirt.
