When? What usually occurs during these days?

we just discussed this at our CALS Ambassador meeting the other day :-)

Cornell Days are: April 10-14 and April 17-21

There are campus wide tours and info sessions and every college has its own programs. Lots to do!!

Are Cornell Days mostly for students who are still trying to decide whether or not to attend? Do most admitted students go to Cornell Days? If we have visited Cornell twice, should we still go?

Sorry for all of the questions! It's just that we are going on vacation the following week, and before I make myself totally nuts and try to make it to Cornell as well, I just want to be sure that it's really necessary to make the extra trip. :)

Cornell Days is for all admitted students. I've helped out for the past 2 years with CALS stuff and I've spoken with students who were 100% set on Cornell and some students who were deciding between colleges. It's helpful because since you've been admitted....you may have other concerns that you'd like to have addressed....and that's what Cornell Days is all about.

I met one person who applied ED and never visited Cornell until Cornell Days.

If I dont' go to cornell days, my first time on campus will be move-in day. HAHAHA. I'm still deciding on if I want to go to Cornell days or not. I do have spring break then, but I dont' know if I really want to spend $300+ on airfare, etc going to visit a school I already know I'm going to for sure. I really want to go though.

oh yeah, is cornell days ALL those days (like 17-21) or do you just go for one day? also, do you live w/ someone (red carpet society) for just one day and is it someone w/ the same major? thanks!

I believe it's all of those days....but the events are pretty much the same everyday so for those who can get 1 day in they'll be fine. I think you can request to live with a student....not 100% sure on that. If you contact your major's department they may be able to hook you up with someone in your major....I have a friend who is a Comm major and she hosted some prospectives during the year.

If you're pre-med or pre-vet I think there are days specific to those groups...so you can come and learn more about those paths.

If you can't come....you're not at a huge disadvantage. But if you can make it....it will definitely be worth it!!

i went when i was accepted ED just to meet the people ive been talking to online in person. and i still am friends with them to this day :)

The Red Carpet Society will host you for one night only...so if you are traveling far either know someone to stay with the other night or so or get a hotel...Cornell also uses those Cornell days to recruit accepted students for "Diversity" "Female Engineers" "Cornell Commitment" etc...
