me as well...... I have to read the Invisible Man...and I haven't started it yet...CC is just so much more excitng.

me too, fatfree, me too.
Tomorrow should be National Senior Skip Day.

Haha, I'm doing a huge 'Rock Orchestra' Rehearsal all-day tomorrow (the concert itself is pretty big; it's been on the news and it's with famous Violinist Mark Wood), so I have a bit of time to do my homework. Besides; I'd rather be on CC :P

Oh, and to my previous post - I'm CAS as well.

Invisible Man? Personally, I didn't like that book too much. Has anyone read Their Eyes Were Watching God? I just finished it a few nights ago.

catinahat....I guess it is reassuring..but it hurts that much more knowing that you were that close....(and failed)...and I cannot get any closure because there is still a 1% chance I'll be admitted. though it will never happen.

yeah... or you just sit and ponder about how if maybe you'd just put a bit more effort in that essay or in your app or gotten one more leadership position you just might've been in

please tell me you didn't like it.....that book was long.. the main character was hipocritical b/c she was just as stuck up and bougieosie ish as the white people....she was like a noble black person who looked down on other blacks...ah..dont get me started.

12:26 all the way!!! =P

I've got a good feeling that this is all bull****, but 1:28ers are definitely the best!

how come all you guys have school?
I'm out for spring break till april 7...

i know...its horrible...it nags at you..like at Claremont.....I am still freaking out about how i accidentally spelled condoleezza rice as condoleeza rice...
and i don't think that would have got me waitlisted..but you never know.

we need to start a 12:26 chat room seriously, cuz we are definitely the best group...... duh! 32 ACT superscored (34 W, 33M, 32R, 29S). Subpar GPA, subpar ECs, good recs (hopefully) and good essays (i thought so anywhoo)

Oh and i went to watch tv for like a hour and i missed 10 pages......

I don't see the evidence where she was stuck-up toward the other blacks. The only time I see evidence of Janie being snobbish was during her role as Mrs. Mayor Starks - but only because Jody wouldn't allow her to participate in those community roles. The whole time Janie was struggling to just be herself; I don't see that as snobby.

I did like it, though I thought the style of it was really strange. I was thinking of renting the movie, but I haven't yet.

Lol, back on topic - Chat Room?

lighthunt..i have school tomorrow. my break was last week...(it was bad cause all i did was stress about admissions.

reticulum...I'm just bitter about it. haha. I read it two years ago so I can't remember that much. I did kind of like the dialect thing. it was interesting. but she was always obsessed with white people things( like her hair) and she really valued her part white heritage.

omg their eyes were watching god is so blahhh...
I had to do poems and posters for English ew

Yeah we 12:26ers are kind of the bomb (though I think I'm bringing down the group a little...at least I'm ILR!).

wow...wait you got a likely or an official letter of admittance?

The 2:34'ers are the best.

We're the Spartans.

aaah, mmelen you have given me hope. even if this is all bs, I can go study for my Hamlet test in peace.
