cornell decision email: wrong submitted date?

lol uiuc is great in compsci that's for sure....microsoft and intel hire more uiuc grads than grads of any other college...

and all of my friends will give me crap if i go to uiuc...because i've been so anti uiuc for the last year....ill never hear the end of it. haha

and I most definitely agree ...we should all be cornellians.

What happened to my fellow 12:26ers, who are all going to be future cornell students?

waitlisting would suck, but at least you have somewhat of a chance? and getting off the waitlist at cornell is probably easier than in some other places since a lot of the genius kids that are worthy of some of the more upper tier ivies will use cornell as a backup then reject them in favor of places like harvard, etc. blehhh, personally, i can't see why anyone likes any of the other snobby ivies better!

Yeah, I bet at least 25% of my school is going to UWyo this fall. I applied there, but I'll only go there kicking and screaming. I'd much rather be at an Ivy, myself.

I'm a 12:26er!

whistles innocently

has Harvard as her first choice

lolll!
good luck getting into harvard :) i harbor no ill will towards you (just in case i'm waitlisted and you get into harvard + cornell, and reject cornell, leaving me a spot :D)

yeah. i just don't like waitlists period...i feel that they are so hopeless. Like at claremont mckenna. i was accepted to the WAITLIST and there are 500 students on the waitlist....and the maximum they will accept off of it is like 30. That is more competitive than regular admission. plus..all of the candidates are good.

hehe..im with you jen....princeton is my first.......but a genius from my school applied there. 36 ACT 2400 SAT valedictorian in a class of 527......lots of EC's....i have no chance

Wow, 30 out of 500, that's rough. Good luck! You might be at the top of it for all you know..

ahhhhhhhhh i really want to find out about cornell already :(

Uh i only want to find out if i got in. Otherwise i want to wait thinking that my app was good enough to get in.

wat i hate about the waitlsit is that it says "almost," if i just had 1 more office postion or got 1 more A or raised my ACT 1 point....like n e "little" thing that i said did not matter, could have been the boost i needed.

thanks cindy....btw..does anyone know if ivies would completely disregard me because the perfect student from my school applied there?

I totally agree plzaccept! If i didnt switch that one ACT question and got it right!

i know....its a horrible feeling...

But Cornell does superscore the ACT right?

tnn01, i dnt think you got the point

o no.. i hope not....i never sent them my superscore...i got a 34 regular and 35 superscored... ahh.. im having one of those regret moments......

If only i wasnt 40 minutes late to my SAT math IIC that day.... and ate breakfast. Gosh. So many things to blame

plzaaccept1989, I understood what you meant but since we are on the topic of ACTs, I was wondering if they did.

Do they superscore SATs too? It doesn't really affect me, since all my sections went up on my second take, but I was just curious..

And Elysium, they probably won't care if theres another perfect student from the same school as you applying - I don't think they assess them one after another from each school... Actually I have no idea, but hopefully they won't care. I'm just worried that 99% of the other applicants are perfect students from other schools that will far outshine my own credentials :(
