Cornell decisions

I called today. They said probably next week...

Now either they give random answers or people here are wishfully making up things...

Bottomline, still no answer.

wait. are we talking about CAS, CALS or both?

CALS is on a rolling basis. Admissions told me that they should probably roll out between May and June.

Martinibluex,

I seem to recall that you're applying to engineering, is that correct?

No, I am applying to CAS.

I applied to CAS too

anyone know anything about engineering?

what about ILR?

just called admissions, for engineering they said "they don't come out until probably mid-may or june" it's gonna be a long wait guys...

CALS - has anyone heard anything?

its 12.. anybody hear anything?

Whoever said that decisions would be posted this week didn't know what they were talking about... apparently.

yeah... nothing for me. next week? or is that just rumor, too?

Meh. That sucks.

I called a couple days ago and they said probably next week...
That means that it will take them around 30 business to anounce all decisions. If we assume that there are about 2400 applicants, then in any given day about 1.25% of all applicants will receive a response. More specifically for CAS about 30/900 people (3.33...%) will be notified daily.
I wouldn't hold my breath.

Martin, as a transfer applicant to MIT you should know that there are more than 3 days in a week.

As a person you should know that there is little point in talking to strangers like that. I dont care how you count - between next week and the first week of June, when Cornell announces decisions, there are 30 business days. Take your time and go over it.

I posted my comment as an original response to you saying "whoever said decisions would be posted this week didn't know what they were talking about" before you clarified yourself. I talked to a nice lady in admissions today who told me that decisions begun going out this past monday. Also, I bet they get more than 30 decisions done a day. Good luck to you.

They told me next week. The guaranteed transfers on the Cornell's board haven't heard anything either (except for that kid that haven't completed the requirements) and they have priority.

A guaranteed transfer just announced that he got into CALS on the gt thread in the Cornell forum.

Perhaps the ball is starting to roll.

BTW, I wonder why Engineering says May/June if they have far fewer apps to look over? I can't wait past June first. I wonder if they could give me a hint or something earlier...
