If applied for Cornell ED, is it OK to interview with MIT for RD? Its just an alumni interview and no application has been sent to MIT yet.

i dont think there is a problem with that...

It couldn't hurt, but, as my mother keeps reminding me, all these admissions officers are 'in cahoots' with eachother, and will probably talk to eachother. But as you haven't actually applied yet...go ahead!

You can apply to as many RD schools as you want, or even some EAs (like U. Chicago). You'll need to withdraw your applications if you were accepted to your ED school. I would not mention to your interviewer that you have appleid to Cornell ED. You also have no obligation to disclose that information. Interviewers are not suppose to ask what other schools you are applying to, but they do forget, so be prepared.

to add to oldfort: and even if they do ask, you are allowed to say you applied to cornell...just "forget" to mention that you applied there early decision. if you say you applied ED to another school, the interviewer will definitely note on their sheet that this particular college isnt your #1 choice....more like a back up plan if you get deferred or rejected.
