Is anyone applying to CALS with a major of Global and Public Health Sciences? 
Did Cornell contact any of your schools about first quarter grades? They didnāt ask for mineā¦ so is that bad?
I sent mine in though they didnāt ask.
@roboticsnerd33 They donāt ask for them, I opted to send them but it is purely personal choice.
I never got contacted for an interviewā¦ Applying to HumEc. Anyone in this same situation, or is this a bad sign?
@crispustree I wouldnāt worry about it, sometimes there arenāt enough alumni to meet with all the students. You might also stand out geographically, so that might have been the issue. Finally, when I talked to my interviewer (I applied to CALS) he said he had meant to contact me 2 weeks prior to our meeting, but he was in London, so itās entirely possible for your interviewer to have forgotten.
Regardless, donāt worry about it! The āinterviewā was more of an information session to update Cornell on stuff weāve done after we submitted our applications and to ask questions. It wonāt adversely affect your admission to the university.
hey guys! i applied early to upenn, i was just wondering if any of you guys know how many ED applications cornell got? i know upenn got 5999, but i am assuming cornell got more because it is a much larger school.
My first quarter grades were my best yet, but I didnāt send them because they didnāt askā¦ dammit. Ahh, live and learn. I doubt that little bump in GPA would make that much of a difference??
^if they donāt ask for grades, they probably wonāt consider them but it canāt hurt to send. No one really has any idea when decisions will be out (everyoneās source for thurs is the alumni calendar which was published pre-july and subject to change depending on how many apps they received) so why not send?

According to a few websites, decisions for Cornell ED should be out on the 8th, but I donāt know how accurate that is.
@skiing26 Cornell received a record number of ED applications last year (4,882) so itās safe to assume this year will be higher.

@reformedman Uh not necessarily, Animal Science is actually quite selective because it is a rare major that not many universities have. I applied to Animal Science because I want to become a vet.

Anyone know anything about people who apply ED for French major? Are the language majors particularly selective? Iām so nervous for Thursday :-&
