Cornell ED Class of 2021 Discussion Thread

30/11 (their time) but I recieved it on 1/12. They wanted the materials by 2/12 though, so it was pretty stressful to gather all the docs in 2 days

ANYONE RECIEVED AN EMAIL YET BECAUSE?!?!! (major panic zone)

@oliconlon NO DID YOU

I demand that @cotopaxi where a shirt with his forum name on it when we get in so we all buy him a coffee. Very helpful posts man, thanks!

@holdencaufield007 NOPE

Anybody here apply ED to the SHA??? If so, what are your stats?

No email received yet

Anyone know what day the email was received last year? The Monday or the Tuesday before?

@Connorf13 It can be either and they only opened an hour ago, it would be later in the day I’d assume.

Applied Early to ILR. Know I’m late on this thread, but let’s hope for the best.

@connorf13 Monday.

What are your families expecting? Are they chilled or are they constantly questioning you about the decision day?

Mostly chilled… I’m the only one freaking out. 8-}

Portals aren’t updated yet for today, so I’m guessing emails will be send when they’re updated.

Lol I’m so nervous. Pretty sure I got rejected but I’m still too nervous to even check my application portal. I’m sitting in Calc right now just scrolling through this thread…

My son is very chill and he’s sure he’ll get in. As his dad I’m the only one freaking out. I’d say he has lower than normal chances but he believes he has good chances. His grades and scores are above average for typical past acceptances but I don’t believe his extra currs are much. We’ll see…
T-minus 4 days

@HoldenMCaulfield what self service website? Can you post a link

My sister goes to Cornell, so there’s a lot of pressure on me to get in. Of course I want it for myself too, but both my parents and I would be pretty upset were I to not get in.

My S applied to COE, chemical engineering. We’ve been pretty calm till the weekend and reading this thread has us all nervous now. He’s got great ACT score but just ok GPA and subject tests. He’s also a legacy but his sister applied RD 2 years ago and turned down her acceptance for another college so we hope that will not work against him.

@foxlilian Just curious why was Cornell turned down? Was it a better school? finances? or some other reason?
The reason I’m curious is that I think the financial aspect is a bit worrisome, atleast to me.
