Cornell Fall 2018 Transfer Thread

@Happyface1998 Yup, that’s why! And don’t get discouraged, a lot of my friends go to American universities (ivy league, MIT, Top 50 schools) and they all applied for aid and got it (international applicants).

Hi guys, I sound feel so uneducated asking this question, but how is one a GT or not? I applied before the deadline, but don’t remember having the option of selecting anything special… Is GT like a binding way of saying that if you are admitted you’re automatically attending Cornell? Thanks in advance!

@transferunkown GT stands for Guaranteed Transfer. You don’t apply for it, you get it if you applied during high school and weren’t admitted, but instead offered a spot in the sophomore class after 1 year of college coursework.

This year, we have fewer applicants than before.

@manshiwang How do you know?

@manshiwang yes how do you know? Curious haha

@jerrythemoose Thank you so much for the encouragement and explanation! :slight_smile: Good luck to you! :slight_smile: :slight_smile:

Hello everyone! I will be applying next year as a junior transfer. I wanted to wish you all luck as you all wait for decisions to come out. :slight_smile:

Has anyone tried the pin trick yet for this upcoming Tuesday? If so, did it work?

@Sergozoria Emm I just tried and it cannot locate my email address yet! lol

I can’t locate mine either.

Anyone else just have transfer transcript ordered and rest of stuff initiated?

Good or bad thing if decisions take longer?

My transfer transcript says “ordered”, but the pin trick isn’t working ???

@jessicaw313 are you a GT?

@mdeca12 no

Where do you find the transfer transcript?

@Dyang525 the financial aid to do list shows it

@jessicaw313 When was your application sent for review?

still no pin
