Cornell financial aid deadline question

I was looking at Cornell's financial aid page and noticed that I needed to submit a "CSS Profile." I don't even know what this is because I haven't needed to fill one out for any college and didn't know it existed until today. I'm currently rushing to get this done. I was told that the deadline was extended, but the offices were closed today so I couldn't call to confirm.

Assuming I finish this *tonight/i would they disregard it?

Not at all. It is always better to get it submitted by the deadline, but they won't disregard it if it's a day or two late.

You don't know how much worrying you just saved me. Thank you.

Does that apply to things like copies of 2006 tax returns as well? I'd imagine they would be more lenient with that because you'd have to physically mail them copies. (Again.. didn't know about this at all until a few minutes before I made that post. The official Cornell transfer application checklist I had didn't include financial aid items.)

My advice isn't canon, just more experience I suppose. Just finish them ASAP and you'll probably be OK.

I have the same problem, I didn't know about the form, finished the CSS today and will send the Cornell form in tomorrow. Does anyone know how much of an effect this will have?

The financial aid deadline has been extended to March 31st.

Thank you so much, this is a stressful process and that gives me some peace of mind
