So I was just browsing around the Cornell website (I had applied for ED on time before Nov 1), and I saw something about financial aid. I thought I would just file a FAFSA/do their type of financial aid after I get potentially accepted! I guess not :(

There were forms (W2) and a CSS profile that I had to fill out BY NOV. 1, and I had NO IDEA ABOUT IT. What do I do now? If I get accepted (which I probably won't, in all honestly, it really is a long shot), I can't go without financial aid! AT ALL. This is bad, very very bad. I understand this is completely my fault for not checking, but what the heck do I do? I'm planning on calling their financial aid office tomorrow, but I need something to calm down with.

CC'ers, I really need your advice!

First, email the FinAid office. They are very nice, very patient people. I’m sure they’ll understand.

Then, get your forms together as soon as possible. Fax the tax returns/W2 to the number on the FinAid website; fill out the CSS profile. There’s a $16 processing fee and a $9 fee to send it to Cornell.

Breathe. I forgot to send my forms until a week after the deadline, and they were okay with it. They don’t even update whether or not they have the CSS profile until after Thanksgiving anyway. Remember to check your Financial Aid Checklist (it’s on the application status page; it’s a link on the left). And calm down. You’re not the only person who forgot.

Yeah contact the Financial Aid office IMMEDIATELY. I had one missing form (although a minor one), and they let me send it in last week.

Ok I called them, and they say they’re still accepting (thankfully!). Gotta do em ASAP. Thanks for the replies!
