AHHHHH - I didn't realize Cornell has extra requirements so I only submitted the CSS Profile by the finaid deadline. I will submit 2008 FAFSA when my mom files her taxes...

The finaid deadline was Jan/1/09 and the date today is Jan/14/2009. I didn't send the 2007 tax returns/W2 forms SIGNED as Cornell requires, OR the freshman finaid application form.

Did anyone else make this mistake? Should I overnight mail it tomorrow and wish for the best?

i wouldnt sweat it just get it out asap
the timeline at cornell's website explicitly states that materials that are late will still be considered

dont worry about it...but if you want to compare financial aid offers from different perspective colleges, then you need to get them done ASAP!

have your mom do her taxes as soon as she gets her forms in order :)

As others have said, dont worry about, from what i heard Finaid is soooo far behind that it wont even matter. Some students are still waiting on their financial aid from last semester through no fault of their own.

Like everyone else said, fill the financial aid app and related tax forms ASAP and send it. Don't worry about overnight mail.
