As for that interview, could you please elaborate? One second I hear that it's very casual and informal and serves more of an informative purpose rather than evaluative, and then I read different.

-Do they have my entire application on hand or just my name and address?
-Do they question parts of your application? (should i prepare answers to questions about my leadership position?)

I'm already nervous...

and I'm open to more thoughts on my chances for admission

I'd definitely say you have a chance if u prove ur passion in ur essays and also how you have changed from the person you were in highschool. Great job with the astounding grades, you must have worked very hard!

you'll be fine the interview is pretty casual ( in questions not attire). They'll just ask you why you want to come to ILR, why you don't like your original school, waht you hope to do with an ILR degree, etc. You'll be fine.

Jay1020...can i ask why do you pick ILR since your current major is Finance??
are you still going to pursue this major when you become an ILRie?
one of my friend is struggling too, she is also majoring in finance right now..
so hope some of your input mght help her decision in trnsfering or not.
thanks a bunch..
and anyone can give some input too! thanks

ranch719, Applied Economics and Management is the closest thing to Finance @ Cornell, so if your friend wants the next best thing to Finance at Cornell, AEM would be your best bet. I want to go into ILR because I'm interested in their Labor Economics major--I've taken several economics courses and figured that I like eco more and plan to switch my major to eco regardless of which school I go to. Finance is not available at ILR. Hope that helps your friend with her decision.

You can't MAJOR in labor economics - your degree will say "Industrial and Labor Relations." However, you can take your electives in the economics department.
