Cornell Johnson 5 year Engineering + MBA program

Hi everyone!
I'm new to this forum and just have a question on the 5 year MBA program Cornell engineering offers with Johnson school of management.

I'm planning on studying Industrial Engineering and Operation Research from CoE and hopefully a MBA later on.

I've read the website's description but they're not clear at all.
All i know is that i'll need to finish my bachelor requirements by junior year and the rest of the 2 years will be devoted to finishing business courses, and that i'll need to take the GMAT and score something around 700+.

However, i have no idea what my credentials will have to be a strong candidate for that program.

Does anyone know what requirements are for this program? How many students do they take each year and just how competitive is it? Do they expect students to have work experience when applying in junior year?

I'm a high school junior applying next year and would appreciate it if anyone can answer my question as it may influence my decision to go to Cornell or not.

i feel like its based solely on your GPA for your first two years here (assuming your courses here follow the regular engineering track)

Thanks for the quick reply.
Another idea how high the GPA they want students to maintain for the first 2 years?
I’ve heard it’s amazingly high but never really gotten a number to put things in perspective.

Thanks!

You should definitely be at at least a 3.5

A 3.75+ would be optimal, but it can be difficult to maintain in engineering.

So they only look at 1st and 2nd year marks, and not look at 3rd year marks at all?
Also, work experiences are not required and they actually only look at your marks?

I suppose they weigh the later years more than freshman year.
