I am a graduating senior at a top 25 engineering school. I am going to finish with a 3.2 in mechanical engineering and a minor in math.I also have research, leadership and some great internship experience. I have some job offers on the table, and I really would like to get a job and then pursue my MBA. Would it be possible to get into a Cornell MBA program or something of that caliber? any suggestions just let me know.
MBA schools focus less on your GPA and more on your job progression. If you think you have a low GPA (I think it’s fine for Cornell), just perform well on your job. You can also study and score well on your GMAT.
Great, thank you very much. I plan on taking a job with Corning Inc. which I have been told has lots of opportunities to grow. Are there any other MBA programs you would recommend?
Business schools want to see work experience. Your GMAT score is good for 5 years - you might want to take it now when things are still fresh.
