Cornell RD Class of 2022 Applicant Thread

@AlmostThere2018 I applied for CALS and I got an interview (I’m from san diego)

@happywaffles - Tks for the info. Probably not a good sign on this end, but oh well. Good luck to you and everyone!!

I applied to the college of arts and sciences and just received a call from an alumni with my area code. I’m in the mid atlantic region. She asked me if II had any additional information to add to my application and asked if I had any questions about the school.

My D has an interview with an alumna on Saturday.

Who wants to hear a riddle?

If decisions are two months away, and I’ve turned everything in, and I probably won’t get in, why do I still visit this thread every day?

It’s a bit early but good luck everyone! I’m a current student at Cornell and I remember how nervous I was the weeks before decisions were released. Hope to see you guys here. If you don’t make it it’s not the end of the world, either. I’m sure you guys are capable enough to have equally good options

@MaizeScream That’s what I have been asking myself for the last 3 months!

Does anyone know whether Cornell offers alumni interviews for human ecology college applicants?

@Hephaestion , my D is Human Ecology, and she has an alumni interview on Saturday.

@Hephaestion I also had an interview and I’m Human Ecology

Does anyone if the hotel admissions are released earlier or not? I heard this from someone but idk if it’s true or not

Quick question for ya’ll…When I sent my scores to Cornell, I sent over two SAT subject tests. I thought that I had to send my SAT results as well. I had a 1250 on the SAT and wasn’t planning to send it anywhere because I have higher ACT score. They say that they only look at the highest scores. How much damage, if any, do you think I did by sending a 1250 to Cornell?

Cornell does offer alumni interviews for Human Ecology. My oldest daughter who is Human Ecology at Cornell had one 2 years ago. My youngest daughter just had a 2 hour interview last night for engineering. I would encourage prospective applicants to meet with alumni if they have the opportunity

does CALS offer interviews?

I applied to CALS and got an “informal” interview @yayaylearner

@rugbymom2 I thought Cornell did not do engineering interviews. How did she get one?

Yes. My S had one this week. I think it depends on where you live, not the school.

It was an “informal” alumni interview. She was contacted via email by the alumni

I was contacted via email this week about an “informational chat.” Oh boy, was it informational. It was basically just me asking her questions for 20 minutes on the phone. She didn’t ask me anything about myself (extracurriculars, major, etc.). I guess Cornell didn’t lie when it said the meeting was only informational for CAS.

Just finished 30 rock. :frowning:

Any recommendations for good tv comedies? (That aren’t parks and rec or the office, lol)
