@Kd6410 my S applied to ILR. Read somewhere they they receive acceptance letters in early March. This is a reach school even with good grades. Good luck
@Patsyclarkstown I agree, Cornell is a reach for anyone - hoping my legacy status gives me an edge as horrible as that sounds
when do cornell likely letters come out?
@mw0990 someone said a month before actual decisions… so I’m guessing at the end of this month. A lot of people can get them, I don’t think you need to necessarily be underrepresented
@Patsyclarkstown I went through last year’s ILR thread and most of the acceptances came out March 3-4. Someone found the Ivy Agreement which states that ILR letters are mailed in the beginning of March
Edit: Found the Ivy Agreement on Cornell’s website
On a common date, usually in late March, applicants to Ivy League institutions will be notified of admission decisions and financial aid awards. (Letters are mailed beginning in February for the Schools of Hotel Administration, and Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell, and beginning in February for the School of Nursing at Penn.)
Any idea when Dyson decisions come out?
Probably on Ivy Day which is March 28 this year
any art history majors out here?
My son got an email today from College board IDOC,
“An additional school is requesting that _________ complete the Institutional Documentation Service (IDOC). Due to this, there may be additional document requirements that need to be submitted via IDOC”
He applied RD but has not received an acceptance yet. Does this mean he is likely to be accepted?
Just curious why they would request financial aid info if he wasn’t accepted yet?
@hartjen, have you ever sent Cornell your idoc documents? Could this be a verification? 2 possibilities.
To do the idoc for University of Michigan and Cornell Son was excepted at U of M Ann Arbor but he applied early action. He listed both on the college board Idoc site a while ago. Just weird that the email requesting more documentation came today
Will Cornell SHA post their decisions online in early March?
Many friends told me that SHA mails out many admission decisions during March and I don’t know how this work.
Has anyone RD sent in a supplement in addition to mid-transcript? (deadline is 2/15 for supplement)
What supplement?
@CSinPA what is the supplement that you are referring to? the writing supplement?
@Hartjen It’s a good idea to log back into the CSSProfile/ IDOC section just to make sure you’ve submitted all the documents that Cornell wants. For example, when I added Cornell to my CSSProfile, I was asked to submit a Cornell Financial Aid Application.
Hi everyone, I am also applying to Cornell. My alumni interview is tonight!!
@Barcelona97531 Good luck! I had my interview last night.
Did anyone have first semester grades requested?
No, but my D’s were sent automatically.
