Cornell RD Class of 2023 Discussion Thread

Congrats @cookiesbylizzie! SHA and ILR have released early in years past! Check your Cornell portal but I would say it’s legit. https://sha.cornell.edu/admissions-programs/graduate/mmh/how-to-apply/timetable.html

thank you-- that’s the problem though. My portal hasn’t changed since I’ve applied

Contact the university tomorrow morning just to be sure.

Congrats to your SHA acceptance!!! Where do you live? Do you see a postmark date? Thanks!!!

also-- my portal is not updated which is why I am hesitant

Cincinnati, Oh. dated march 1

Congratulations!

Congrats again!!! Hope there are more posted here in the next few days to keep you company!

I think only SHA will be getting letters this early. ILR applicants like me will have to wait for a likely letter/diversity invite or ivy day. This is based off of the CAAAN calendar: https://caaan.admissions.cornell.edu/CAAANCalendar.pdf

I got my letter from SHA today!!! Did not expect that!!!

S 19 received letter from SHA today. It took us completely off guard. We are in NJ.

@fsnake01 Why is a diversity letter ‘required’ to get in?

As in, does it showing up in the inbox from a particular school (if they issue them) even mean anything?

This year some got that email for Stanford REA, but most (as the normal rate is) were rejected anyways.

Isnt SHA offering UG degrees as well? So is this for grad or UG?

I think ILR comes out with the ‘normal’ apps

Per the Ivy League Common Notification Agreement, SHA & ILR are allowed to release RD decisions early. The attached link mentions February, but I think decisions have been released at the very beginning of March in recent years. I don’t know if ILR has been releasing early lately.

@CT1417 THey’re allowed to. Doesnt mean they’ve to comply with the allowance.

If they feel they need more eval time, theyll take it.

Case in point for ILR. Maybe not for SHA.

SHA has sent out some acceptances, but not all acceptances are already sent out so there is hope.

ILR hasn’t sent any out and is waiting until Ivy Day (3/28), they changed this last year

Has anyone from MA gotten an SHA acceptance?

I’m freaking out

Has anyone else heard from SHA?
