Cornell RD Class of 2025

Can anyone link or tell me the name of the Cornell facebook parent group for the Class of 2025? It looks like there are multiple, and I’m not sure which one is legit.

Whichever one you join, make sure it is not one run by Human Nature group or something like that. They are not official and open groups at every college. You want one that is run by parents as Cornell themselves do not run FB pages.

Very small chance of getting off the waitlist at most schools, particularly an Ivy since their yield rates are so high, and if it happens it will likely be after commitment day. You need to make a commitment deposit somewhere else (and dorm deposit, etc. - some schools look at when you deposit as priority for dorms), look for a roommate, etc. and plan to attend. You just need to be ready to switch gears if needed.

Was accepted with a likely. Had “decisions will be released today” on my portal since the morning. Checklist disappeared in either second or third wave. Had APP21. My stats are posted in this thread if you want to see.

Here is a FB group for parents of the 2025 class.

Waitlists are not binding.

Coincidently, my daughter was accepted at CMU and waitlisted at Cornell. She is also leaning towards CMU among her options.

Congrats! What were her stats

thanks!

I think she had a 1450 in her one sitting of the SAT. I don’t think she submitted it anywhere. She had a full IB course load with some AP classes as a junior (Calc BC and a US History, I think). She was accepted at CMU, Michigan, Cooper Union and Binghamton. Waitlisted at Cornell and Barnard. Rejected at Harvey Mudd, MIT and Swarthmore. CMU and Cooper Union (along with Harvey Mudd and Barnard) were her top 4 when this started so she is generally pleased with the outcome.

Good luck with your choices.

Thank you!!

Haha nice maybe I’ll see her on campus in the fall!

Yea, you’re right. Thank you so much for the advice!

My daughter also accepted at CMU, waitlisted at Cornell, Princeton and Columbia.

A quick question about Transfer Option and Waitlisted. Just curious which one is better for students that are not admitted? TO sounds more secure than waitlist, given Cornell is a Ivy school. Thanks.

Are you looking at schools in your home country?

wohooo!! I alr had a likely but it’s real now. I committed last night and I can’t wait. :)))) I also got into PSP, lmk if anyone else here got admitted to PSP/has been there in the past/what it’s like.
