Cornell School of Hotel Administration Admissions

Hi all, I’m a rising senior got really worried when I saw that work experience was strongly recommended for applicants. I haven’t done any restaurant work, but I have some experience in teaching swim classes and lifeguarding, which includes interaction with people. I have also volunteered in teaching music to younger kids for my community service requirement in sophomore year. Do they consider volunteering as work experience? I saw that the SAT requirements for SHA is lower than some of the other Cornell schools, but is that true? My SAT is 1350 and I saw on the Cornell website that 25th percentile of students score as low as 1310. And, if I’m considering early decision, how much higher are my chances than regular decision? Thanks in advance!
