Cornell Summer College

How much does Cornell summer college cost?

depends on the length and # of credits

Tuition : Program charges : Cornell Summer College

ok, so it's not competitive to get into cornell summer. but if you do well, it does help with apps?

oh yeah, and does anyone know if the classes offered during 6-week programs are the same as those during a regular semester?

McBio:

Summer College helps with apps if you do well. If you get straight As, it will look at least somewhat impressive to colleges to show that you can succeed. Bs are OK, but won't add much to your application(maybe a little bit).

As for the classes, you have several options. You can take courses specifically for HS students, or undergraduate courses offered during the summer. So, depending on the classes you take, you can be surrounded by undergrads in a standard undergrad class, or surrounded by high school students in a high school-oriented class. It's up to you.

to all alumni of Cornell Summer College, how difficult is the workload and how easy is it to get A's??

^depends on the class of course...

Suppose.... I am in the business world program..how difficult is it to get A's.
My high school curriculum comprises of English, Accounting , Business Studies, Economics and Entrepreneurship..

That program is new this year, so I don't think anyone would know the course load and difficulty level. With those classes under your belt though, I'm sure you'll do fine

Does anyone know when we get information on details and roommates etc?
I sent in my additional forms and was just wondering when and if we will get more information. Thanks~

From what I know, and I have been to several programs and extensively researched them all, Cornell is a pretty authentic program.

It isn’t one of those campuses that dumbs down ALL of the summer term classes because they know most of their students will be high school students.

for residential life, its really nice as well.

Are the courses SUPER difficult? like no free time kinda thing?
I was reading reviews and everyones been talking about how theyve spent countless hours studying. But then again, apparently it differs with courses, does anyone know anything about the business world course?
how were the exams?

thanks a bunch.

there will be free time i’m sure…but it just depends how well you manage your daily routine…

how is the 6-week engineering program? I just got in and I’m deciding whether its worth the money

concerned about the same thing  i’m going to the sustainable animal husbandry program

anyone accepted this year??

I wish I was able to even afford this stuff lol

Summer College was a blast. I did a 3 week course called Design Generation, I couldn’t afford the time off from soccer for the 6 week Engineering Program.
It is definitely worth it and I feel it helped out greatly with my applications for college. I have been accepted to many terrific Engineering schools and am waiting on Cornell’s decision later this month. Good luck ! You won’t regret it.

S was accepted, really looking forward to it!

Got accepted but still deciding weather cornell or harvard. both are brilliant schools but wonder which one will help more in admission. :/

i have some friends who went to arch program and got accepted by cornell ed this year, but im taking the engineering course, so was wondering if it would help as well??

Thanks!
