cornell told me what they think!

I got in, 3.9 from a cc. Ok fine, I had guaranteed transfer.

Congrats Madden Bus! But I thought GT's had to do their "away year" at a 4 year? I could very well be wrong but thats just what I jeard.

nah, that's not true. They take plenty of people from community colleges. Some community colleges even have gts from the college to Cornell, but I'm not here to speculate about how those work because I really don't know. I know they offered a guaranteed transfer to me personally and I took it.

ru in CAS madden???

I think he is CALS. I think I heard of only one person getting into CAS so for... if that.

martini, i don't think u got anything to worry about, u dont get in...then no one is getting in....

lol! thanks, man for boosting my morale. i hope you get in Columbia.

me too. i hope you get into columbia bball, so you can withdraw your penn app, haha :]

if you have a GT from Cornell, you can go anywhere. I know alot of students who had one and just went to a CC to save a bundle of money.

You get the GT after applying as a freshmen, not if you're already at a CC. The only real transfer agreements Cornell has with some CC has to do with classes that are guaranteed to transfer. It's not like if you get a 3.5 you're guaranteed acceptance, but rather if you take the recomended classes at a CC, the credit is guaranteed to transfers. This usually confuses people.

martini - you'll probably get in (unless your essays were forgettable). Other than that, your stats put you in great shape.

wait a second...is SAT really not required for junior transfers? im applying to AEM. i looked entensively at the website and i didnt see this. can someone confirm it?
