Cornell Transfer- Collegeboard says Rolling admissions?

On collegeboard it says:

Transfer Students

* Rolling admission for transfer students
* Transfer application closing date: 15-MAR
* Transfer priority application date: --
* College will notify student of transfer decision by: --
* Student must reply to acceptance by: 01-JUN

But I read by others that it isnt rolling because they wait for your mid term report and everything. What if you sent in your application February 1st though, and someone else sent in their application on February 30th. Both of these people send in their midterm reports around the same time.

Does the rolling admissions rule come into effect then? Does the February 1st guy get his app reviewed first? Basically could you have sent out your transfer app in like January and your mid term in like March and be reviewed first because you originally sent out everything in January?

Is it rolling or non-rolling, its confusing because the website says it is!

Thank you!

er....there is no such date as Feb 30th?

From what I know, they do have rolling admissions for transfers. But not on a scale of 2 month differences or something.

I think on their website it says they do rolling decision starting late april to mid june.

how can you make rolling admissions starting april when the deadline is march 15th?

How is that considered rolling?

Select candidates will be given notifications by March 15th and some people on CC have already gotten their acceptances via mail. This is applicable however, for only the three schools, Hotel, ILR and CALS. Majority of the acceptances are released on the Ivy League notification day March 31st 5pm EST.

Rejections are not notified to candidates until before the Ivy League deadline - March 31st.

^ This is for regular admits, not transfers.

so what exactly does rolling mean?

does applying earlier give an advantage?

Oops, sorry wasn't reading the title of the thread properly.
My last post was referring to regular decision freshmen candidates

yeah...I have the same question - It says its rolling, but it doesnt make sense because they need the midterm stuff...so I honestly don't think its rolling. Can anyone verify this?

Transfer admission is rolling in the sense that all final decisions are not mailed out on the same day. Transfer decisions are posted to the applicant's status check site starting in late April and decisions will be granted until early June.
