Cornell Transfer Fall 2021

Has to do more with what school you applied to. I applied CAS.

AO said they’re not first come first serve

Yes that is what
 I said

me
this school is like my only source of hope, I’m so goddamn nervous I wish my checklist would disappear already but don’t we all feel the same

hey dont worry ur not alone when did u turn in ur app??

also, im new to this forum so i never knew there was a financial aid portal (jokes on me) but now im looking at it and it says no to do item available? but im pretty sure i submitted my CSS and IDOC? is that normal?

I think the date we apply only affect when we will get our decision, not our decision itself. That being said, it is only one of the factors, not the only factor. Some application might take more time.

march 14, but bc i took a year off and dont have a midterm report i only had it waived april 7. not early, but im impatient.

it means that you are all set materials-wise

Submitted my app on mid Feb, submitted all the required materials on late March. My checklist still up n running

the date you apply has nothing to do with when you get a decision if you turned everything in before the deadline. They review all of the apps before they release any decisions, it’s not rolling.

Any CAS Econ here??

but they said "You will hear from our office in mid-April on a rolling basis about your admission decision. " on the portal

Yes, they release decisions on a rolling basis. They don’t review apps on a rolling basis if that makes sense. Basically, they review all of the apps for that school/major before they release any decisions. The first week, they release some decisions then review all of the remaining apps again before they release the next wave of decisions. They continue this until June. Basically, they leave the ones that are on the fence until the very end.

so the longer we wait the more there is to worry?

No haha there is no need to worry everything will work out fine. Honestly it’s not a bad thing to wait until the next week because then you know you weren’t rejected that wave.

From my understanding, the longer you wait, the bigger is your chance of being accepted
