****Cornell University Class of 2021 Regular Decision Thread****

@Vexaeria - So did you get accepted?

@cricketfan Your decision will be viewable on 3/30/2017 at 5:00 PM

^ thats all it says

Does anyone know if the admitted student packets are sent standard mail or Priority Mail?

Ahhhh I have my IB Spanish oral exam on the 31st
Not sure which is worse: giving the exam in an anxious state or a dejected one!
Esp since Cornell is my top choice rn :(((

Is it 5 pm EST? I didn’t consider that before and now i’m realizing I’m going to get my decision in school, since i’m in California :frowning:

Does anyone what exactly is the HEOP program? A friend of mine has gotten an invitation to diversity hosting at Cornell because she applied for engineering and is identified as a “low income woman in engineering” (This basically means that she got into Cornell). I was told that Cornell contacted her and asked if she would like to join the HEOP program and this is mainly because of her amazing essay or something. She has a 1300 SAT, 95 avg, and a couple of AP classes(which is very common in our graduating class). Btw, her family doesn’t meet the requirement to be “low income” in any way. My other friend with the same income as hers applied to HEOP and got a letter saying that she’s not qualified for it. So I was wondering if this whole thing is true… If it is, is it even fair for other applicants who applied regulary and have the same financial situation? Also, do students with HEOP program take the same courses just like any other student who applied regularly? I’m so confused rn LOL

@roonilwazlib100 yup haha. same here. i’m a pretty emotionless person though (on the outside at least) so i’m gonna try to act super chill no matter the result :stuck_out_tongue:

Tomorrow is the big day!

Stay tuned! It’s gonna be a blast!!! BOOM!!

Which major did you guys apply with? I applied with Psych

Well, 30th is finally here

I applied for HBHS (Human Biology, Health, & Society). Sounds really cool!

AKA: Day of the Dead

I applied to CALS for Environmental Engineering.

@BrandonRadonski Twins

@mdchang99 Cool! Haven’t seen many others on this thread applying for the major. What made you choose CALS over the College of Engineering? For me it was the appeal of the environmental science programs. Much more passionate about that than the engineering aspect.

I applied for AEM major at the new College of Business. Interested to see how admissions will work for that school this year.

@BrandonRadonski Precisely the reason I applied to CALS as well. I wanted a more focused education in the Earth Sciences and Agricultural studies. I favored what I perceived as “breadthe” that I didn’t quite see in CoE.

@mdchang99 For sure. Plus, in the event that I want to switch majors, I feel much more content with my options in CALS. Best of luck!

I applied to CALS food science (:
