Cornell University Early Decision for Fall 2023 Admission

Mine says aid year 2023. What’s up with yours?

and I didn’t apply for financial aid

dec 15th at 7pm is when we get the acceptance notifications go out.

do you have the aid year description then inquiry access denied too

we got tax return and W2 request also. CSS did not ask for uploading of anything and Cornell specifically says do not send any additional documents unless requested so not sure why anyone would actively upload tax documents and W2’s when it was not requested through CSS platform.

I am pretty sure everyone has that

It’s because you’re looking at the financial aid decision when there isn’t one yet. Try typing in financial aid status portal or something along those lines and it should show your checklist. My checklist also says 2024 so idk about that

nope, it said submitted

where can I find my financial aid p0rtal/checklist? The only thing I see is my regular portal

Go to upload documents in CSS and it will show which colleges are asking what documents

Just got this through my school counselor:

Our admission committees across the undergraduate colleges and schools
are moving through the final stages of Cornell’s early decision selection
process. Like last year, this year has been especially challenging as we
received over 9,500 applications for early decision admission. Applicants
will be notified of their decision online on Thursday, December 15 at 7
pm (EST). Applicants will receive details just before and leading up to
notification regarding how to access their online decision through their
application status page/portal.

A few special notes and reminders regarding early decision:

Early decision incomplete applications will be
rolled over to regular decision and affected early decision
applicants will receive an email message regarding this by December
19. It is too late now for them to be considered in the early pool.

Early decision admits who wish to defer: Students
interested in deferring must first accept the offer of admission and
then return to their application status page and complete the
deferral request form no later than March 1, 2023.

Early decision admits who wish to withdraw: We
receive a small number of requests to withdraw each year during
early decision. Please note that we expect all students and families
who wish to withdraw for financial aid reasons to formally and fully
engage in the financial aid appeal process before we grant the
request to withdraw the application. If an admitted early decision
applicant changes to regular decision (often due to financial
concerns), they will be read within the context of the regular
decision pool and there is no guarantee that they will be admitted
during regular decision.

Early decision applicants postponed to regular
decision are not permitted to change the college/school to which
they are applying. Additional, new information can be submitted for
the admission committee to consider.

Early decision refusals cannot apply to another
college/school at Cornell for regular decision.

The regular decision admission application deadline is January 2.
Please remind students to submit required application materials by the
deadline: Application Timelines | Undergraduate Admissions.
If the application and fee/fee waiver arrive by the deadline, it is fine for
other required application materials to arrive shortly thereafter. We
understand that some required application materials may be delayed in
reaching us this year. Students are encouraged to use their application
status webpage to monitor our receipt of their application materials.
Application status will be available after we have received and processed
an application.

So it seems like the number of students that applied to Cornell under ED did not change that much from 2021, which also had 9500 applicants.
