@aspiringgirl Cornell sents your application to the school you are applying so they review your application instead of having a room full of people making decisions for majors they have no idea how their work.
only SUNY/CUNY community college students who have completed the required coursework
A little question:
Due to COVID-19, there’s a pass grade on my final transcript. Would this affect my admission?
I think your final transcript is asked for once you’re admitted so I don’t think it would affect your decision
@Cornellian2025 Also, given the circumstances, I am sure they will not mind a single pass grade.
I did the pin trick and got an email to reset my password. I submitted by app on march 15th and submitted my midterm grades on march 31. Does this mean that I likely got rejected? My college GPA was a 4.0 from VA tech engineering
The pin trick is only used to see if your decision is ready, not whether its an acceptance or rejection, so I wouldnt worry!
Has anyone else tried the pin trick? I try but my decision has not been made yet apparently and I turned in my stuff a month ago.
Anyone know how competitive it is to get into CAS as a NON-TO? I couldn’t find any statistics from that online. Looking at last year’s thread, it looks like it’s pretty hard
@DrewGonz19 be patient, decisions won’t be sent out until mid-April (4/21 per admissions) so just sit tight. They won’t start to send pins to access until then so don’t even sweat it. We will all know soon.
@herewegooo i’m also a non-TO applicant. We’re in this together!!
@Ilinrs I know I was just worried/confused since @EngineerGuy got his pin already so I thought maybe they had started making decisions already since a pin most likely equals a decision had already been made. I’ll just have to be patient, sadly
@EngineerGuy has your financial aid checklist changed from initiated to ordered or something?
The Portal is up.
The app portal looks way smaller then what I read about last year. I believe kids who applied to Cornell also got into schools they thought were better, or transfers are applying elsewhere.
I got a email that my app was prioritized by my Admissions officer who I have been keeping in contact with so I assume by the 3rd week of April is when decisions will come out
@DrewGonz19 Your financial aid checklist has stuff there??? Mine just says, “No current to do item information found.” However, I just received access to it today.
@kavan716 what portal are you talking about? I am just a little lost, sorry.
Admissions are probably reviewing complete applications. I think they review TO first.
Hi guys; I am currently a CC Student in NYS and I am applying to Dyson.
I am entering as a sophomore and completed all required courses
MY GPA was 3.6 last semester but this semester I expect to have a 4.0
I have been speaking to the same admissions officer for help from Dyson since December when I started my application, and have used all of his advice when applying.
I submitted 3 recommendation letters and my resume, and have constantly kept my transfer advisor updated on everything regarding my application.
I also submitted my resume and
I have a lot of extra circular activities but some of my favorite ones are that I do play a college sport.
I did get a email from my advisor saying that he was prioritizing my application yesterday, so I hope I receive my decision soon.
I also submitted some research I have done with my Economics professors, and some independent research that I have conducted.
I know that Coronavirus will have a impact on decisions, but I still have no confidence at all that I’ll get accepted.
However, it does feel like they’re are very few applicants for transfer this year throughout the 8 schools Cornell has to offer.
Thanks guys and good luck!
Where are you guys getting the information that there are fewer applicants for transfer? Just wondering, not saying you guys are wrong.
