Cornell University Fall 2020 Transfer

I do not think I can have it delayed I was just hoping for my decision to come out on the 21st since I turned in all my documents and the app on the 7th of March but if what @aspiringgirl said is true then I’d rather have it come in later so it’ll mean I maybe got in.

Does Cornell not have a checkbox to show that they have received our test scores?

Most schools don’t required test scores but if you send them they won’t put them on your portal but they will see it when they review your application

@Newyorkkidd thanks for the info

This was the case for me too. I sent my transcript in March and my app portal said they haven’t received it. I resent the transcript a week and a half ago, and they said they haven’t received that as well.

So I sent the email back to them, forwarding the proof that I have sent them a transcript. They didn’t respond to my emails for a week (i sent to both underapps and transfer email address). However, yesterday they responded:

“I have sent that information along to our processing staff and you should see that checklist requirement completed within the next few days. Your application will be considered complete as soon as that happens and will be sent to the college for review. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.”

So if anyone is having the same issues, I would recommend waiting and emailing them again and again I guess.

Cornell does look at more than one recommendation letter, right?

yep

@aspiringgirl 1 is required but you can hand in more then 1. I believe on common app 5 is the max

All of my things are finally submitted and omg this is so scaryyyy. I’ve never been rejected from college before but there’s a first for everything

@aspiringgirl I’ve been rejected from over 10 schools lol.

I just received a email from my transfer advisor and he said that he is forwarding my application to be read As soon as possible. This likely means that they have not started reading apps yet, or they have started reading them and mine may have not been in the first wave of decisions. I don’t know if this will help anybody, but I just wanted to post this thread.

Also, my finical aid portal updated and is asking me to hand in a “Federal Tax Schedule 3” which has a due date of 10/15/2021. This is odd, considering they want me to hand in a form that is due next year without giving me a formal decision yet. Did anyone receive this to ?

@kavan716 I find that odd as well. I’m guessing we don’t have to worry about that right now.

@adfarafd Yeah, I just got a little lucky in my initial application process. I applied through the QuestBridge NCM and I was matched to a binding school, so all of my other applications had to be withdrawn.

My application was also forwarded for review (My application will be review by a special program instead of the school I applied within Cornell)

did you get that same finical aid update on your portal to?

@Newyorkkidd nice bro! Which program?

OP

Ohhh, So its due now. The tax update on my portal is due next year. Hopefully its a good sign for things to come @Newyorkkidd

But “they haven’t received my high school transfer” and my counselor already sent it. @kavan716 it’s a good sign
