@Newyorkkidd Some of them are later but my second choice is May 1st. It seems weird to me to expect transfers to make decisions as if they are freshman applicants
You should talk to those schools and make an excuse say that you want to wait until june 1st to see how Rona is by that time
I think a lot of people applied but just aren’t on this thread
I agree. It seems unlikely that not many people applied for Cornell. Probably more like people not knowing about this website/thread
@CALSgirl2020 I agree with you!!!
@DrewGonz19 last year the thread at this time was almost 3x the amount of pages it is now with different people. less people def applied, college confidential is well known I think less people definitely applied
Hello everyone, do you guys think that they have already started reviewing applications? I know that the last day for us to turn things in from our checklist, is April 15th. I still need to turn in my registrar report but with school closures it was a bit challenging to get ahold of the admissions and records department at my college. I was finally able to get ahold of them and they mailed it out. They sent it out by mail so Cornell should be receiving it soon. Do you guys think it matters that its barely being sent? I would have taken care of it sooner but my checklist barely appeared on my portal last week.
My college hasnt even sent the report and they havent replied to me since tuesday. Btw I asked them to send it well over a month ago. Not sure what to do…
@eligarcia15 They seem to be pretty understanding of the situation. I’m sure it will be fine
@eligarcia15 my advisor said that its recommended that you receive all materials and finish your application but its not mandatory due to CoronaVirus
@719mango I know it was so tough to get ahold of the admissions and records department at my school. I had sent them an email with the forms and details but they never responded so I called them Tuesday and I was on hold for over an hour. When I finally got ahold of someone they told me they had mailed it to Cornell. I just hope that Cornell receives/processes it soon.
@CALSgirl2020 @kavan716 Thank you guys! That put me at ease. I was a bit worried because it is the last thing I need to complete my checklist.
You guys keep mentioning advisors. Were we all assigned one? If so, where can we see ours? Thank you.
@adfarafd We weren’t assigned any, PM me and I can tell you about my experience. It is a lot to put here on one thread, but if your interested feel free to message me. I can say that for me, a advisor emailed me because I was interested in applying to Cornell and he is the guy I have been updating about my application and the updates to my app so he knows everything about my situation.
Does anyone else’s financial aid portal say inquiry access denied??
@eligarcia15
I asked Cornell about late documents(my university transcripts were late) and this is what they said:
“Your application will be considered complete as soon as that happens and will be sent to the college for review. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.”
I asked specifically "I’m just worried that this might mark the time of supplemental materials as “being late”. They dodged the question- presumably because being late doesn’t matter.
So hopefully, it doesn’t impact us negatively!
I submitted both my FAFSA and CSS Profile but on the financial aid portal it is asking for a copy of my parents whole tax return including all schedules and W2s. Was this the case for everyone else? Also will it hurt my admission if they don’t process it by April 14?
I see on my financial aid portal that I have to submit schedule 1, anyone see the same thing on theirs?
@Newyorkkidd @ahy2000 yeah I submitted my schedule 1 on idoc alongside the rest of my taxes and my spouse’s as well. Not my parents because I’m independent and older so I guess it depends on your particular case. On my finaid page it still shows I need to submit my schedule 1 but I did so on idoc so I’m not sure what’s going on there.
@ahy2000 You have to submit all of those through the css profile/idoc (i think that’s the name of it) because Cornell requires them.
@Newyorkkidd I don’t see a schedule 1, but I did see that my inquiry access was denied but now it reverted back to saying Transfer transcript (internal document that I don’t need to worry about) so idk what’s going on with the financial aid portal but it seems to be a bit glitchy rn to me.
