Cornell vs Brown for Engineering/STEM

Trying to advice a high school senior who is considering applying Early Decision to either Brown University or Cornell University. He intends to major in engineering - possibly engineering/physics or biomedical engineering. Seems really interested in research. Thoughts? My quick internet search suggests that Cornell is a better fit but what do I know?!!

From what I’ve seen, Cornell is one of the top engineering schools in the nation. If he knows he wants to do engineering, Cornell would be the better choice. Even if he changes his mind & wants to change his major to non-engineering, Cornell is still a great choice.
