Cornell vs. Cornell

i know it has EA, which is a good thing

Cornell college is far superior in just about every category. have you read the facts? I mean, every one of their buildings is on the historical record, geez.

And apparently…Cornell College has both cannons and spiders inhabiting the chapel basement whereas Cornell’s chapel basement houses only spiders…beat that! ;) hahah…

Oh, cornell college also has 2 wresting titles...and they their major hill is creatively named "the hill." That's just the icing on the cake.

hey so how good is Cornell College????????

it's just a fairly good and unknown LAC.

"Free cable TV in all dorms" I'm sold. :p

Oh man...months ago i was searching through scholarships online and came across this:

http://www.cornellcollege.edu/music/scholarships/

I didn't know cornell college existed and for weeks i believed i could audition for a huge music scholarship at cornell u. It would have been pretty embarassing if i'd gone to audition without going back to the website.

I got a call from them yesterday.

"So, we were wondering, is there anything about Cornell College that you would like to know?"

"This is the one in Iowa, right?"

"Yes"

"Yeah, I'm not really interested anymore"

"OK, we will go ahead and take you off of the list. Thanks, and good luck with your applications!"

"Thanks"

They send me so much crap that I wanted to eat the phone, but hey, I'm a calm person.

Cornell College can be a Godsend to those who need a schedule like the one they offer. Going to the University, which has a bit of a cutthroat rep, could be a disaster and waste of money for someone like that.

haha....let me go to cornell college's forum and see what they're doing. It's probably covered in spider web.

I live right by Cornell College (in Podunk, Iowa), and trust me, it ain't nothin special...

A number of my kids' high school classmates go to Colorado College which, like Cornell College, has the block system. I have always wondered about information retention with such a system, but I've heard it has some unique positives. At Colorado, all classes start at 9:00 am and go 'till about noon. So students tend to be a little earlier to bed at night than at other campuses. There is also less class cutting because each day close to a week's worth of material is covred. The system is good for kids who have a hard time juggling a lot of different courses, and prefer to delve deeply into just one at a time. Also-- there is ample opportunity for courses to take place off-campus, sometimes far off-campus (which can get expensive).
