I appreciate it, thank you for offering your advice.
Other schools already have though so I don’t understand why they don’t take the majority of the people off the waitlist if the class is already filled up.
ahh sorry, I called them but was unable to talk to anyone (did I miss their hours?), the voicemail thing said to email all inquiries to the CALS admissions email. last time they took like a week to email back but i’ll try emailing too
i think for CALS, you have to call in the morning before their lunch time- i think those are their hours. i missed their hours too
oh okay thanks! I’ll try again tomorrow then (unless they’re closed tuesdays - I thought I read they were but I can’t find the page anymore so idk if I’m just making things up at this point lol)
I can typically get a response within 1-2 days by emailing my regional admissions officer. Try googling yours. You probably already know, but try to keep your emails as concise, polite, and courteous as possible because I’m sure they’re getting a ton of concerned emails.
Aah people…idk why am the bearer of bad news but whatever😭. My counselor emailed CAS and the reply came from director of admissions. This is it:
The College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell is currently quite full, as admitted student enrollments are concerned and there is no intention at this time for Cornell to consider new enrollments from our waiting list for the College of Arts and Sciences. Once this decision is final, we will let wait listed students know that the wait list is closing. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Most sincerely, Shawn Felton
Am sorry for us
Thank you for the update. I suspected their class was quite full since they didn’t say anything all along, though I thought they would take a few, not zero!
We would be open to TO.
but like weren’t they apparently busy reviewing waitlist applications like they’re not even taking one off?
CAS
It’s taking so long lol
Does anyone have the contact information for CAS?
You can just email them I guess
Right, now that you mentioned it. I recalled someone posted that they were busy reviewing the waitlist a few weeks ago.
I’m mildly annoyed lol to be honest. What’s taking them so long? I’ve been waiting for the results for weeks now
yeah that’s why i’m a bit confused why were they reviewing applications if they had no intentions to admit anyone from the waitlist. Also CAS is the largest school at cornell and most likely to admit students from the waitlist
I might just go to Australian med school instead of US unis ughhh
Cornell’s making the whole thing much more complicated
What about Hum EC?
Let’s hope something changes and they decide to admit people.
