Cornellians! Is it (the school) too big?

Yeah, we all know Cornell is a rather large school, but for those that attend, is it too big with regards to student population? Does the number of undergrads affect the quality of classes and can students get to know their professors? And by the way, does anyone find the campus unmanagable with regards to its size?
Thanks

Cornell's campus is GIGANTIC - I didn't change my diet at all, and from all the walking alone, in 2 months I lost nearly 15 pounds.

About your qeustion - - - Some of the classes I took were huge (Bio101, Chem intro) because they're the classes everyone takes. Typically, those classes will be in an auditorium and have about 150 students in each section (there's a lecture at 8 and then one at 9.30, I think it was) This is why Cornell's "ivy" label is often challenged and criticized - - However, there are smaller classes like the writing seminar where your teachers will actually know you, and your bio and chem labs will be small....However, the TAs (esp. for chem) aren't really that great....

That being said, good luck.

It's not as huge as Stanford is (which is the largest grassland campus in North America), but it's still pretty big. Also, in number of students, it's about 18000.....smaller than Columbia and Penn, which have 24000 students each.

All in all, it's most similar to Harvard in terms to student body (18k), and the campus is similar to UC santa cruz (very nice).
