corrections on FAFSA

I did my corrections several days ago on my FAFSA to have it sent to additional schools, but I still haven't recieved an e-mail and none of my other schools seem to have gotten it. Has anyone else actually got an e-mail saying their corrections went through? what should I do now?

First go back to the FAFSA site and see if the correction has been recognized. You should see a SAR for it.
If not....do it again. It usually take about 48 hrs for the email. Sometimes even less.

I checked the site, and there's no record of a change. I'm in the same boat as you, English. I made my corrections last Thursday. I'll redo them, but it makes me very nervous that the info didn't register. Thanks for the advice NPI.

When you attempt to do the correction again the site informs you if your last try is being processed. If it hasn't you can do the correction again.

I've now done my corrections twice and it says that thay are both processed! However, I've recieved no SAR for either correction and one was almost a week ago, nor have any of my new schools recieved it, my first schools recieved it within a day. I'm worried now, what should I do? Do they give out two SAR's??

I'm pretty sure you get a SAR after each submission. I made changes on the 13th and though I got confirmation of the correction I haven't gotten a new SAR yet. For my 1st submission I got the SAR the next day. I'm thinking it might be taking a little longer this time because of increase in submissions: alot of schools had a 2/15 deadline. I'm gonna wait it out a few more days.

I made FAFSA correction...

2004 income: Down by $10,000
EFC: Down by $5,000

Sigh...

ok, so i'll just wait a few more days, I'm just worried about deadlines incase I did something wrong

English05 - I suggest that you give the FAFSA folks a call. I updated the info for my son over the week-end and did not receive a confirmation email. I checked on-line and it did indicate that the information was processed. Called the FAFSA folks this morning and they confirmed that a email was sent out that same day. Not sure whether it was a break in the system. I'm going in this evening to make changes to the schools.

According to the site my info was processed as well. Still no email though. Maybe there is some problem with their outgoing mail.

We made our correction several weeks ago and never got any type of email confirmation like we did when we first filed in January 3rd...

so are you guys just assuming that they went through, has anyone actually got a second e-mail?

I still haven't gotten my 2nd email since I last posted, but obviously there's a few of us in the same situation. I think I'll wait till Monday, and then take worriedmom's advice and call.

still nothing

I just checked: Corrections made on 2/20 were processed on 2/20 and show a new SAR. No email report, however.

I have now made correction #2 and #3 to my FAFSA, one yesterday and one just an hour ago. I only got an email on my original submission, back in January. But I hope I don't need to "wait" for more confirmation emails. All it said anyway was the date it was processed. I logged back into FAFSA just now and I can see all three transactions, with their processed date including tonight's.

Although I'm not positive, my take is that as long as I got a confirmation page and number after I submitted my corrections, it's IN. I mean for example, I don't think it would have let me make correction #3 tonight, if yesterday's correction #2 hadn't been processed.

What I'm mainly wondering is whether the schools listed on correction #2 will get this info in 3 days as FAFSA.gov claims they will, and whether the new schools I listed on correction #3 also get it in 3 days. I guess the only way to know is to call them all on Monday and make sure.

I just made my corrections and got my new SAR. So happy!! Mom's income went down by about 2k and SAR went from 1005 to 443! yea!
