Does Pitt usually match a school’s scholarships/grants with cost analysis? Have much more competitive offers at other schools
@kh1255, I just submitted the official cost analysis worksheet last night (for my S). I had a response this morning saying we would have a decision by April 13.
We appealed and my DD’s scholarship amount was not increased.
State schools have much less lattitude to do this than private schools.
I appealed (in '13) for my daughter with Case, CMU, Rochester and Pitt. Pitt was the only one who gave more merit aid. CMU didn’t, Rochester offered more loans, Case offered book allowance.
We also appealed and should hear back by end of this week.
We got notification today…$0.
I’m sorry to hear that!
We, fortunately, had a slightly better outcome (we also heard yesterday). We’re on campus tomorrow for an accepted student’s day…we’ll see what my S thinks after that.
YAY!!! Glad for you - hope you have a good day on campus!
