I am transferring in the fall and going to be living in an university apartment. I have been reading everywhere that they overestimate the cost by a couple thousand. I am wondering how much it probably will be a year? My apartment is only around $6000 for the year.

Also does anyone know if i am transfer student who wants to minor in theater, do i have to take the lower division that is required for the degree if i already took that similar course at my community college?
Thanks
Josh

That’s just your mandatory cost to attend UCLA with housing. You still have to estimate how much you will spend on food and personal shiet. Also, estimate how much you will spend on books each quarter, which you will probably buy online. It usually comes out to be ~$150/quarter at most. Factor in transportation if you plan on going home often i.e. flights or gas.

Assuming you spend $200/month for food (9 months), $300 on flights, $150/quarter on books.

i said thank you but he was kind of rude. but for real no sarcasm thanks man. you actually answered cause it says $1600 for books and that seems like way too much and thier travel expenses seems wrong.
anyone know anything about the theater minor?
