Hello,

This question is directed more toward people living alone and already going to UCSB but if anyone had good info please answer.

Anyway, I'm a transfer student that is probably going to be attending UCSB for the fall (I TAGed it). I started looking into the cost of living (I live in LA so I'm gonna have to move). It's seems to be around 600-700/month to live off campus and 13,150 (at the cheapest) to live on campus. So my main question here is including food, internet and appliances, what is a better deal?

If my UCR finical aid letter is anything like my UCSB one I'll get around 20K excluding loans and work study. I'm betting I'm gonna have to get a job (which sucks) to cover some of the costs.

UCSBs price break down is:

Tuition $12192
Student Services Fees $1403
Books And Supplies $1414
Health Care Allowance $1293
Room and Board $13150
Telephone/Cell Phone $303
Transportation $831
Personal Expenses $1448
Total $32034
