*Cough* Subject Change *Cough*

Not to deliberately and obviously take the focus of our Stanford apps. but...

Who's off school this week for Thanksgiving? What are you doing?

-Ender

I'm off school Thursday and Friday. What am I doing? Eating turkey of course!!!

(We're off all week)

Doing a lot of work, some college stuff...and yeah...the turkey thing.

-Ender

I'm off Wednesday through Friday. I get to sell groceries to really rushed, nervous people on Wednesday, then I'll eat turkey on Thursday and leave on a bus trip to Chicago for the weekend. Fun times.

I get Thursday and Friday off. I'm gonna do the turkey dance, do lots of work, try to find the nerve to work on my other college applications... Not so good. The real fun comes on Christmas/New Years break when I get to go snowboarding in Nevada and visit my cousins in Arizona. Yess...

Wednesday is a 1/2 day and then I got Thursday and Friday off. I'm just gonna have a really good Thanksgiving Dinner...

Ender (Really good book, btw. I liked it.) - You get the whole week off?? I wish it was the same here!

Yeah -- frankly I'm not really sure why we have such a long break... but I'm not complaining.

-Ender

We've got Wednesday through Friday off (that seems pretty common here). Turkey, of course, and family--my grandma and her boyfriend are coming up on Thanksgiving, and I get to see my favorite cousins (they're my age, and we practically grew up together) the day after. Too bad I'm getting sick, so I'm crossing my fingers that a LOT of cranberries will fix that, 'cause on top of family I've got a huuuuge service project to plan and some, uh, other college apps to do, plus IB work.

-covers ears as ominous music plays in the background-

Off all week! Buuuuuuuut....

college college college college college college

I remember the days when I used to be such a happy child...

lol, meao, seriously....don't we all....looks wistful :-)

i get half wednesday off, then thu and fri....college college college

btw, ender, great name. did you read the entire series?

Someone -- yeah, I did. You?

-Ender

yep! I really must go back and read it again...Ender's Game was fabulous, fabulous

which "entire series" did you read? the old, old continuation with Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide, Children of the Mind? or the offshoot with Bean? or both? and if both, which did you like better?

All I'm doing this week is thinking about Stanford!

...just kidding :)

...kind of :D

The best part is that after 8 months I've discovered....TV!...again...

Been watching Roseanne re-runs while glaring at the stack of applications...

..must...not....give....in...

off wed-fri. Going to Atlanta for fun.

^^ eating fish, not turkey.

Tower -

I read both (all seven) series'. I liked them both a lot, but the original series is my favorite. The last book is coming out soon, I think.

-Ender

Ah, yes. I agree with you. The first series is more thoughtful, though the second is more suspensful, IMHO. I though there were going to be at least a few more books in Bean's saga, however...

I only get Thurs and Fri off. How crappy is that?

My schedule: college apps, TV, food, TV, apps, TV, food, food, food, TV
