Techer Thanksgiving

:)...that time of year again, yay!

....wish you all a pleasant Thanksgiving.....

Is this a "break" for Techers like it is in high school...? How do Techers
use this holiday?

Though there are bunch of wild turkeys walking around where I live,
we try not to eat them... my family ritual dinner includes group prepared pizzettes (secret recipes and all) and desserts followed by some music jamming with coyote howling...

I'm using the break to read manga and program a nethack bot. [which I've heard is impossible, but hey, worth a try.]
And we're thinking of going to the beach if we can find someone with a car.
(And of course I have to catch up on work. Damn you, work.)

fix
look for a senior in lloyd--he has a car.

Was there a campus t-day meal?

Our hovse mostly watched movies and chilled out for the day, and we had a turkey Thanksgiving dinner at 4:30 (most of us had gotten up sometime between noon and 1, so I guess it was technically lunch). It is a bit boring, but it's made up for by the fact that we don't have the stress of sets to do (unless you're in CS1 and didn't turn in your set last night like me. Yay extension!).

lol bookworm- were you in any way referencing michigan coach lloyd carr?

Actually no, but its nice to see someone with sports knowledge.

Have a happy t-day weekend.

Son had dinner at Winchell's with a local intoxicated homeless man. Many people left for the 4 days, and not much of anything open, including of course Avery

zulu,
I thought many students were around, and there was a T-day dinner on campus. Sounds like it was lonely for your S.

While a good chunk of students did leave, a decent number remained. I thought all of the houses had Thanksgiving dinners, but I guess I was mistaken.

Glad to hear there were dinners. I guess the Avery kids needed to be invited to one of the other 7 houses.

Avery kids have their Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday, or so I've heard.

seniors in lloyd with cars? There are quite a few of those.

As far as I know, all the Houses have Thanksgiving dinners. The fact that Avery dining hall is closed is no different from the fact that all the other Houses' dining halls are also closed. As well as Broad, Chandler, the C-Store, etc...

And correct me if I'm wrong, but all these dinners are House-organized.
