Could I, as a non-partier, fit in at WVU?

I know that WVU is one of the top party schools but I am not interested in alcohol, drugs, etc. A lot of the girls in the residency halls go out and party together. I don't want to be the odd one out. WVU has a wonderful program for my future major though. So could I fit in there or would I be an outcast?

Yes you can. I am not going to lie I love to party but I also do all my stuff that needs to get done during the day so I do have all that free time. And no you will not be an outcast just as many people who got out don’t go out as well. And that is the beauty of the school is you can really do anything you want and maybe in the future if you decide to go out and party or do whatever you will still have that option. I will say one of my favorite things is on game day looking out at the sea of yellow no better sight in the world. There are also tons of clubs and activities to do as well. But if your not into the party scene hopefully you are not living anywhere downtown where it can get pretty rowdy at night especially wednesday-saturday. If you are just get a huge fan haha

I’ve been a Morgantown resident all my life. Yeah, a lot of the kids are big on partying, but I’ve also had a bunch of friends (Top of the class, honor students, tons of other school options) attend WVU and trust me, they’re not the partying type. You’ll be able to find non-partying friends, don’t worry.

no, take it from someone who is a first year student, lives in a resident hall on a floor, and doesn’t party. no one on the floor talks to me because the first weekend they went out and partied and I didn’t. the first friends you make freshman year will be your floormates and if most of them party and you don’t want to, you will be left out. I am leaving wvu because I don’t like the party atmosphere and because i didnt make any friends because i don’t party
