How is campus life in West Virginia University?

I am applying to WVU for the spring semester 2010. I live in Hudson County, New jersey. Ive been considering now WVU and have sent out my application to them. WVU is about a 6 or more hour drive from where i live so for those of you that are in or know some knowledge of the school, i understand its known for it being a party school however its something i wouldnt mind since im a partyhead myself but i do still get work done so the party scene is irrelevent of it being my choice. I am at the moment in my 3rd semester in a Community College.So...

Pls describe as much detail as possible thank you all!

I didn’t go to WVU but many of my friends’ children have. Yes, it is a party school but all the kids I’ve known who went there have graduated and done fairly well. My own son, however, is a senior in high school and wants nothing to do with it (he’s interested in UK or Marshall.) It’s a good school if you’re mature, self-directed and stay away from the drunks, druggies and couch-burners. Since you’re not going in as a first semester first-generation college freshman from up some holler in southern West Virginia, you should do fine.

it’s fun. cool people and you’ll never pay for beer if that’s what you’re into. no idea about the other stuff, i only know a couple of people there.
