Just curious, do you think a college would pay to fly me down for a visit. I was accepted to the University of Alabama on a full ride. As it is, they are giving me a lot of money. Thus, do you think they want me bad enough to finance a visit? I really want to see what it is like because I am interested, though I have some other options (Vandy, UNC). Although, those arent giving me any money. It's gonna be an $800 trip when all is said and done between my dad and I flying down, staying in a hotel, and all that good stuff. Could I just ask them to do it, or would that be a ridiculous request?

thanks

If you have a lot of need (are very low income) they might. Otherwise, I doubt it.

Bama is very generous regarding that type of thing. if you are a highly recruited and qualified candidate, call the admissions office and explain your situation to them. but you will probably only have a good shot if you are, like Erin’s dad said, in need. are you in any of the honors programs? this would be a boon to you im sure.

i think i may have to call them. but yes, i am in both the university honors and the international honors programs. Sidenote, what would you do in my position Mesquite? i guess you know a little about bama (knowing about the honors)
