Could I Get A Scholarship Anywhere???

Well I live in California and almost have my college list done, but I think I want a few out of state options. I wouldn't pass up a UC school, unless I got a scholarship, so if you could name a few good schools where I have a shot at getting one.

Few things I'm looking for: Good academics, lots of options, nice campus and city, nice weather in the 70's, but I wouldn't mind experiencing snow, D1 football, school spirit, strong business program, residential campus, suburban or urban.

GPA = 3.7UW/4.1W -- SAT = 2000 -- Top 3 or 4% of graduating class -- Good Ec's (leadership, sports, and community service) and Recs.

Schools that sort of appeal to me: Arizona State, Penn State, UMich, UWisconsin-Madisson, UOregon, UWashington, Villanova, Syracuse, UTexas-Austin, UFlorida.

I know most of those are public so I probably wouldn't get anything so could you list some good private schools or publics that I could get a scholarship to.

The only way to know is to apply and see what happens. People here can make guseese about how it might work out, but they will be just that: guesses. Have you also considered whether yoou will be eligible for need-based aid? Most people are, at least to some degree.

I've heard that Arizona State does give scholarships to out-of-staters, so apply. Look at Flagler College, St. Augustine. It's small, but you would probably get aid, and the cost is low. Not good in sports and might not have business. You seem to like the big places though. Look at Bentley, near Boston- it's totally business. Oh- Mount St. Mary in Emmitsburg, MD- it is the smallest D1 school and has a great business program.

Assuming you are talking about a non-need based schoarship (i.e. merit scholarship):

Villanova and Syracuse - Unlikely.

Univ Florida - Read this - http://insidehighered.com/news/2006/07/13/florida

I could be wrong about this - but it seems to me that Ohio State gives better merit money than Penn State.
