I am a junior from Michigan, and I am looking for some colleges to apply to. I have a list of schools that I am interested in, but I am curious to see if anyone else has recommendations. I have a 3.92 UW GPA, I will have taken 6 AP classes, I have a 33 ACT, and 300+ hours of service, 2 varsity sports, I’m on student congress, NHS, and key club. I am looking at U of M and MSU as instate schools, and I have a list of OOS schools that I a man interested in. Does anyone have any ideas of larger schools with scholarships that I could possibly get for my test scores/grades? I would love to go out of state. Also, what kind of schools could I get info with my scores? I previously had a 29 on the ACT, so I am thinking I could apply to some tougher schools (Like U of M). I am interested in business, and possibly hospitality. Thanks!
U of Alabama will give you a full tuition scholarship.
Florida State, Kentucky, West Virginia, Ohio U., Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Kansas, South Florida, Florida International, Mississippi.
Do you qualify for financial aid? If a lot, schools that meet need should be targeted
Northeastern (but remember to demonstrate interest!)
What price range are you trying to get into? There are some schools that give a lot of aid but a lot minus a massive tuition is still a lot.
Check out this list-I received one of these and will be attending an OOS college for about $10k less than the in-state schools I was accepted into. I think you definitely have a shot at a lot of the scholarships on here, but obviously one’s like Duke’s Robertson Scholarship or Notre Dame’s Stamps Leadership Scholarship will be harder to get.
