I have a 3.8 GPA and I have lots of extra curriculars. I also am a varsity member with high leadership positions in all my orgs/clubs and am strongly involved in community service. Sadly, I was not able to pass the 2000 mark for my SATs and I only got 1950.

I'm looking at the following schools:

Dartmouth
Duke University
U of Notre Dame
U of Chicago
UC Berkeley
UCLA
UPenn
USC

Dartmouth, Duke, UPenn: High reach(I won’t say it’s impossible)
Notre Dame : reach
UCB: reach (low reach if in-state)
UCLA: reach(low if in-state)
USC: unpredictable

Try to boost your scores to a 2100+. That will boost your chances significantly. I’m afraid your score is on the 25th percentile margin - unless you have special legacies or you are an athlete, the chances to Ivies are low indeed.

Well, both of my parents went to UPenn (Wharton) and my uncle’s a benefactor in USC and has a building there. Does that make any difference in my application?

Also, I’m not really looking into financial aid. I’m also an international student with US Citizenship. I’m applying for a major in econ/finance btw.
