Personal Statements/ Essays: Very strong, reviewed/corrected by UCLA professor

Do you think I will get into UCLA/UC Berkeley/ USC

And also what about Dartmouth and Notre Dame?

ur SATs are dismal and that could seriously hurt you at "by the numbers" schools like UCLA and berkeley

*sorry...misread ur SATII as SATI

i think you have a fair shot...good luck

Also: I got elgibility and local context: top four percent of my school and I am guaranteed admittances into UCI and UC Davis
AP SCORES
CALCULUS AB:4
ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE: 5
ENGLISH LANGUAGE:5
EUROPEAN HISTORY: 4
AP CHEMISTRY: 5

SENIOR YEAR COURSES: AP Physics, AP Calculus BC, AP Art History, AP Government

His SAT 1 score is not dismal, the average sat score for UCLA/UCB the past year was below 2100.

His SAT II scores are dismal

number 1 school in SD? is there even such a thing? the only school that i know that kicks ass is cathedral...but thats my view...

You have a good chance

Btw can you chance me back!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/606894-chance-no-chance-question.html

geez, I can't believe how bad your sat 2 scores are in comparison to your sat 1 scores. Unless Lit and Math are brought up to at least 700+, I would have to say slight reach to reach for Berkeley/USC/LA. Definite Reach for Dartmouth.

Well i am retaking the sat 2's in december and I am hoping for 700+ but wouldnt i be a strong candidate for USC considering that they dont take sat 2's? my sat's are high for SC and my GPA is way above there avg??

But USC does look at SAT II eventhough they are listed as optional.

Hey, I'm applying to similar schools! Best of luck, sir =)

Your extracurriculars are more than enough for USC/UCLA/UCB/Brown/Cornell, but they fall short of what you'd expect for an admitted student at an Upper Ivy.

GPA is pretty awesome, but those subject tests will hurt you. I believe UCLA's average SAT II hovers in the mid-600's, and you're about 100 points shy for both. Nonetheless, a pretty good SAT I score.

However, I still wouldn't be surprised if you got into either USC/UCLA/UCB, simply because everything else is on par, the subject tests are just one aspect.

There's a good chance you'll get into one of the following: UCB, UCLA, Notre Dame

Keep your head up, if you can get those SAT II's to be 750+, then you're set, and you'll even have a shot at Brown/Cornell.

USC - match
UCB - slight reach
UCLA - slight reach
Notre Dame - slight reach/match
Brown/Cornell - slight reach/reach
Dartmouth, UPenn, Columbia, Harvard, Princeton, Yale - reach

Could you chance me, please?

Your ECs look good, but the SAT II scores are less than stellar. For the ivies, you should definitely pull those up, but the bigger universities, looks good

Yea I am hoping for 700+ on both SAT 2's on Saturday so wish me luck :)

Your GPA is very strong. It can get you to any of the UC's. the problem might be your SAT II's--well you are retaking it so good luck! :)
your ec's are great too. shows ur devotion to comm service, etc.

Berkeley - low reach. hey if you can get it above 700 then it will definitely be a good match.
UCLA - match
USC - match
Dartmouth - Reach. it's a tough school.
Notre Dame - low reach/high match? depending on sat ii's.

Chance me back please??
