Hey guys, I am currently a freshman at Lehigh University, and will be attending Monmouth U in the spring. I really want to get to Boston or some other city school by next year though. I will post my stats and would appreciate if you guys could assess my chances.

-High School-
SAT-1380
Class Rank-35/532 - top 6/7%
All honors courses

-Lehigh Univ.-
3.14 with 14 credits, although I do have a W

-Monmouth U-
I plan to get straight A’s

I will be applying as a business major and would love to know my chances for fall of '06 as a soph and would love to hear more about the school.

If you do in fact get the straight A's then you have a chance, otherwise (IMO) you will not get into the School of Management with your current college GPA. I do not know the transfer requirements at BU SMG but for most schools you need at least a 3.5-3.8 to be competive.

I'm a possible transfer student also. Do W's matter that much?

It's OK. I have pretty much decided to not even apply. I know I would be kicking myself for choosing a school with as much grade deflation as BU. I don't think it's worth it.

i have a 3.85 cumulative gpa from a community college and Rutgers, but i have one W for each semester. will that affect me?

My boyfriend is also thinking of transferring to BU next spring from CU. Right now he's in Chemical Engineering with a 4.0gpa and finished 12 in our high school class with honors and APs and whatnot. He has a pretty good shot at getting accepted as a transfer for BioMed Engineering at BU right?

Yes, he has an excellent shot as a transfer with that GPA. What school is CU? Columbia?

University of Colorado at Boulder
